“Missing You”
Background:
In West Virginia alone, 1 in 5 West Virginians die from a tobacco related illness. It is likely that many people at your school know someone (relative, friend, etc.) that died from tobacco use.
Materials needed:
- White paper
- Picture of a loved one or someone you know that died from tobacco use
- Printer
- Tape or glue
Directions:
**NOTE: Make sure you get principal permission before performing this commotion at your school.
Have students bring in pictures of someone they know who died from tobacco use (4 x6 or 5x7). Print the word “missing” on top of the paper and attach the photo under it (see picture below). Add a few words about the person, and a tobacco fact.
